Family Fishing Tournament

This free Family Fishing Tournament is held on Oven Island with children lining the banks of the two north channels, often shoulder to shoulder. The catch is weighed on electronic scales with the most weight winning. Contestants may choose to fish both days or only one day of their choice.
For the Family Fishing Tournament, several fishing equipment manufacturers, Wisconsin fishing related businesses and local firms offer an array of prizes. Assisting the event are McDonalds Restaurants, Mercury Marine, and National Fishing Product Companies. This event is sponsored by McDonalds and was incorporated into Walleye Weekend to offer people an opportunity to participate in this fishing whirlwind .
