Click here to learn more about this group

Mission:

To make sure that “NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN”

To provide FREE COMPLETE Bed and Bedding solutions to kids age 3-17 in our town to any child that does not have a bed.  One of the simplest comforts we take for granted.  Kids who rest better test better.  It’s proven that BEDLESSNESS causes declines in rest/health, grades, discipline, self pride/worth etc.

Community Impact:

100% of funds go toward the cost of materials and tools, operational costs and volunteer training for making free beds for kids through Sleep in Heavenly Peace.  The organization has just started covering parts of Waupun that are in Dodge County and just expanded to Lomira (dodge co.) and serve a 20-mile radius of Fond du Lac.

Partnership with Fond du Lac Festivals:

Getting on average 50 beds per year (from Walleye Weekends builds) underneath children who have been sleeping on the floor, or in dog beds, dirty clothing, or yoga mats. Seeing families come through the festival who have received beds from us in the past, and jumping in to take part in building a bed for someone else. Having a grandparent sign up their bed-less grandchild to receive one, and building her bed on the spot with us.
